Sherman Heights is a charming urban Historic Neighborhood at the early stages of a revitalization. While our property is beautifully renovated, private, gated, and thoughtfully designed for families, the surrounding neighborhood may feel more modest and lived-in than what you might expect given our luxury interior and amenities. Given the downtown location you may see individuals experiencing homelessness and hear the sounds of traffic.

Part of the spirit of travel is experiencing different communities, cultures, and environments with an open mind. Our guest love the local character, convenience, and authentic feel of this centrally located neighborhood, but if you are more accustomed to more suburban or planned neighborhoods, you will find the surroundings different from what you are used to. As a mom, I would never host families in a home or area I would not personally feel comfortable bringing my own young children.

Drive, tram, train, bike, scooter, walk, ride share - we have it all close by!

PARTY POLICY
We strictly prohibit large-scale gatherings; however, we do welcome small, tasteful events such as bachelorette celebrations and family BBQs. Guest count must not exceed the maximum occupancy of 12, quiet hours must be observed, and the number of overnight guests should not exceed those listed in your reservation. Guests are expected to treat the property with care and respect neighbors at all times. Quiet hours: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

To help ensure a peaceful experience for everyone, we have security cameras located at the front of the house (one at the doorbell and one above the driveway pointed at the gate). We also use a privacy-compliant NoiseAware sensor that tracks volume levels without recording any audio.

PET FEE
$150 per well-behaved dog, per night applies to cover additional cleaning costs (limit of 2 dogs). Dogs must be crated if left unattended in the home for more than 2 hours—guests must provide their own crate. Unregistered pets will incur a $500 fine. If necessary, additional cleaning charges may apply based on market rates: $450 for couch steam cleaning and $200 for area rug cleaning. Please refer to our full Pet Policy for details.

EV CHARGING
$25 per overnight charge applies. Please let us know in advance if you'll need access to the charger.

EARLY CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT
We’re happy to accommodate an additional half-day stay at the beginning or end of your reservation, based on availability. Fees vary depending on demand, so please reach out in advance for a custom quote.

SMOKING POLICY/FIRE RISK
Due to the high fire risk in our region, smoking is strictly prohibited both indoors and outdoors for the safety of all guests and the community. Please note that there may be times when fire pit use is temporarily unavailable due to elevated fire danger.

Please note that an additional rental agreement is required after booking to ensure the house rules are clearly understood and acknowledged.

Safety Acknowledgment
Guests acknowledge that staying at the property involves ordinary risks associated with residential use, including but not limited to stairs, outdoor areas, weather conditions, and household amenities. Guests agree to use the property and its amenities responsibly and in accordance with posted instructions and these House Rules.
